Concord, Massachusetts since 1886Â
The Concord Music Club provides its members the opportunity to perform and to appreciate others' performances at informal meetings hosted by fellow members. As one of the oldest ongoing music clubs in the U.S., CMC has a history of supporting music by encouraging soloists and ensemble groups, inviting guests and guest performers, and making donations in the musical community.
Membership is open to anyone interested in our musical heritage -- particularly but not exclusively classical music. We ask that a prospective member first attend a meeting, either as a guest of a current member or by emailing us for further information.
New members are welcome at any time. After attending a meeting as a guest, a prospective member may contact the Membership Chair. Annual dues are $20 (family or individual), either as a performing or a non-performing member.
Performing solo or in a group are both welcome. Performing in a group is encouraged as it results in more members having the opportunity to perform and ensures a more varied program. Performing Members can schedule a performance date by contacting the Program Chair.
Members receive a printed Directory by mail at the beginning of a season. The Directory contains members' contact information and musical interest, CMC regulations, dates and locations of meetings.
Meetings take place during the calendar year from October through May, except for the winter months of January and February. They are held mainly at the homes of members and consist of musical programs with a social time including refreshments afterwards.
